Through the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement, the International Joint Commission (IJC) assesses Canada and the United States’ progress to ensure the Great Lakes are swimmable, fishable and drinkable for all. The IJC conducts this assessment of progress every three years, and it’s nearly time for the next “Triennial Assessment of Progress,” or TAP report on that assessment.

The public will have an opportunity to provide their input on Great Lakes water quality successes and issues, an important component of the IJC’s progress assessment.

The IJC will soon launch its Great Lakes Perspectives platform, where you can test your knowledge of the Agreement with a true or false quiz, submit photos for the Great Lakes photo contest, and provide your perspectives on progress under the Agreement. Sign up to get notified when the platform launches and to receive updates when engagement opportunities become available.
