Public Consultations
The International Joint Commission (IJC) today announced a 30-day public comment period on the International Lake of the Woods Basin Water Quality Plan of Study. The plan of study will guide the IJC in making recommendations to the Governments of Canada and the United States for a water quality study for the Basin.
Is water quality in the Rainy-Lake of the Woods Basin important to you?
If so, your views are important to us!
Please participate by attending one of the meetings listed below and comment on the draft plan that the International Joint Commission and the Lake of the Woods Basin Water Quality Plan of Study Team is developing to better understand:
- nutrient enrichment and harmful algal blooms;
- aquatic invasive species; and
- surface and groundwater contamination, including heavy metals and other contaminants.
