Whether you just visited your first Great Lake this summer or you’ve lived in the basin your entire life, you possess unique views and knowledge about the health and water quality of the Great Lakes.
Water Quality
It takes many years to plan, coordinate, implement and verify the actions and programs that restore, protect and enhance the environmental health and water quality of the Great Lakes.
This project is a 3-year study to better understand stressors affecting water quality in the St. Croix River watershed including nutrient concentrations and their distribution.
Today, the International Joint Commission (IJC) launches its efforts to gather public feedback on the Canadian and United States governments’ latest actions to protect, restore and enhance Great Lakes water quality.
This public input opportunity closed on December 23, 2022. The feedback received will be considered by the IJC to inform its 2023 Triennial Assessment of Progress (TAP) Report. The TAP report is currently under development.
The Osoyoos Lake Water Science Forum is on for October after being postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
