International Souris River Board Meeting - Brandon, Manitoba

The International Souris River Board (ISRB) will meet on February 21, 2019 at the Victoria Inn Convention Centre located at 3550 Victoria Avenue, Brandon, Manitoba. The meeting will be held from 8:30 a.m.to 5:00 p.m. CST/CDT. The ISRB assists the International Joint Commission in preventing and resolving disputes relating to the transboundary waters of the Souris River basin. 

The Board meeting is open to the public and will provide the general public with an opportunity to ask questions and discuss current issues affecting the Souris River basin, such as drought, flooding, water quality, ecosystem health, and the apportionment of water between the United States and Canada.

Canadian agencies involved in the ISRB include Environment and Climate Change Canada, Manitoba Sustainable Development, Saskatchewan Water Security Agency. United States agencies include the U.S. Geological Survey, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, North Dakota State Water Commission, North Dakota Game and Fish Department, and North Dakota Department of Health.
