Description
A Reference to study and report on what activities need to be taken by the United States and Canada for protecting and improving water quality in the Saint John River.
Outcome

The IJC recommended a Canada-U.S. Water Quality Agreement for the Saint John River Basin and the adoption of water quality objectives recommended by the bilateral Canada-United States Committee on Water Quality in the Saint John River. The governments did not accept the recommendations.
