This project aimed to re-establish the relationship between the International Lake Superior Board of Control (ISLBC) and the Batchewana First Nations (BFN). The BFN are directly impacted by the IJC’s actions in the Sault Ste. Maurie area.

Flow measurements at the Compensating Works at the head of the St. Marys Rapids will be conducted throughout the summer and fall of 2015 in order to establish and verify relationships used to determine flow through the St. Marys Rapids at multiple partially open gate settings.
An Application by the Government of the United States for an amendment to the 1914 Orders under Dockets 6 and 8 for Emergency Regulation of Lake Superior to relieve the critical high water conditions on the lower Great Lakes by reducing lake outflows through the St. Marys River power canals.
A Reference to conduct a study of water quality in Lake Huron and Lake Superior, and recommend remedial measures to restore and protect water quality in the Lakes.
